When their lakeside summer cottage was lost to fire, the owners wanted to rebuild in place. Allowed to maintain the existing setbacks on a steep slope, the home’s wall-to-wall windows bring the sights and sounds of the water right into the open plan living-dining-kitchen area on the first floor. The master bedroom on the second floor has equally expansive views, while windows of the guest room on the first floor provide privacy from a near neighbor.
