Pleasant Lake, New London NH

Overlooking the lake, on a sloped and wooded site, the many windows in this residence allow the light to pour in. To meet the owner’s sustainability requirements, the house is super-insulated and includes photovoltaic panels for power, solar hot water panels, a wood-fired boiler for radiant heat with propane backup, and five wood-burning fireplaces and a propane stove in the house. A wood stove provides primary heat for the owner’s office above the two and a half car garage.
